CONGRATULATIONS Fairmile Grange! ('Care home blasted over pole dancing', Echo, Feb 22).
Don't listen to those fuddy-duddy councillors with their old-fashioned views.
The message seems to be that it's ok for old people to have entertainment as long as it's 'appropriate' - i.e. staid!
I'm 74 and reasonably fit at the moment. But I hope if and when I need care, my family will place me somewhere like Fairmile Grange.
We may be wrinkled, but we still like to have some fun, you know, and by all accounts, none of the residents seem to be complaining.
In any event, I'm sure nobody would be forced to watch if it wasn't their 'thing'.
