I LIVE in Plymouth but am a Mudeford boy born and bred, and I would be intrigued to know when Christchurch town councillors propose to stop squabbling amongst themselves and get down to providing the people of Christchurch the right to vote in a referendum deciding whether our wonderful town should be foist into merging with Bournemouth and Poole politically.

An original date was set before the snap election was called and little mention, if at all, has been made since.

I am currently 'at home' for 10 days and thought that a call to Christchurch council, on behalf of my 87-year-old mother, would unravel the mystery.

All that produced was "when we know, you'll know".
