ON Thursday night, I saw something I never expected to see, and have never seen before.
I was walking through Winton with my wife and, to my astonishment, coming toward us were two police officers.
They were actually stopping cyclists who were riding on the pavements. Telling them to walk with their bikes or riding them on the road where they should be.
Nice to see this as my wife is disabled and in a wheelchair and cyclists are, to put it bluntly, a damn nuisance on the pavements and also dangerous.
But the above has got me thinking. Was the above action a one-off? Hmm! Remains to be seen.
I'm not holding my breath 'til the next time.
