MAY I make a comment on an article I have just read in the Echo. Apparently there are more than 80 locations in the area that need better road safety measures but our council can't afford to install them. Road safety manager Richard Pearson explains to us that if there have not been seven or more accidents in that location, it does not qualify. I have lived in the Iford area all my life, I have not heard of seven or more casualty accidents on the Iford roundabout, but money can be found to make this roundabout the most dangerous/frustrating/crowded road in the area. Why do Councillors think whatever they say or do is correct, but whatever us the taxpayers say is not. Iford roundabout does NOT work, admit you have wasted thousands of taxpayers money on this folly and sort it out...please..
