DURING all the hype over the Air Festival did anyone spare a thought for the plight of our feathered friends?

Walking through the gardens during one of the displays i noticed that birds that are normally chirping away merrily while flitting from tree to tree were cowering in the lower branches and shaking like a leaf.

I reached the Prom just as one of the planes screamed overhead and the look of stark horror on the faces of the seagulls was pitiful to behold.

With all the funds and resources at their disposal surely The RSPCA could remove them to a place of safety for the duration of the event?

If we continue as we are there is a grave danger of them being terrorised into extinction so imagine how drab and dreary our fair town would become with no pigeons in the square and a seafront devoid of seagulls.
