OF course we all remember that terrible Sunday morning of 20 years ago when we awoke to the tragic news that Princess Diana was dead.
PICTURES: Diana Princess of Wales and her visits to Dorset
It seems as unbelievable now as it did then. She was the only Royal to visit Aids patients and cancer sufferers. She reached out to them in every way by holding them and listening to them.
I think she was misunderstood by many people but she was only human. She craved love and affection as we all do.
On the day of her funeral, many of the shops in Broadstone closed out of respect. I remember the Broadway was silent all day.
The sadness was palpable. I will never forget it.
Her sons are amazing but it seems their whole lives are tainted by this tragedy. How desperately sad.
May you rest in peace, Dear Diana.
