I DO hope that Mrs May’s call for a “strong and stable leadership” following the General Election on June 8 means the sort of leadership Ben Fogle of The Living Planet Centre has called for (Letters, April 15).
Ben’s quest to find sustainability champions reminds us children are our future and they need to be connected with nature.
As our world faces unprecedented threats from collapsing harvests, dirty energy choices and fears of local and international conflict Green Ambassadors across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales could indeed inspire us all to do even more.
Please ask those now standing for election how they hope to protect us from such threats, working with Green Ambassadors to implement unifying, constructive policies.
Some healthy solutions are already being discussed in our Neighbourhood Plans.
