I CAME to live in Broadstone in 1975 as a young bride.

I still live in the same two up two down house next to the bowling green.

It was no surprise to hear that Broadstone is one of the best place to live in the country.

I’ve always loved it. If I won the National Lottery I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

My three children went to the local excellent schools. They all have very good jobs now, although they never went to university.

My husband has worked very happily at Poole Grammar School since 1979 and I worked part-time at Burwood Nursing Home for over 20 years. A very happy place.

I come originally from Parkstone, another very friendly place, although changed now, like many places.

Broadstone has a beautiful church and cemetery with Wallace’s grave prominently displayed. Also a wonderful bowling green and recreation ground. A fete is held every year when everyone comes together.

I feel so privileged to live in Broadstone.

The shopkeepers know many people by name and are so charming. I volunteer in two of the many charity shops. I’m very proud to be a volunteer.

There is always something to do in Broadstone. A marvellous library, many restaurants, the Methodist church is open every day for coffee and light lunches and is very welcoming to everyone.

It’s true, Broadstone is a perfect place to live. I’m so lucky.
