FROM the feature in Tuesday’s Echo I note that Dorset’s clinical commissioners are saying that Royal Bournemouth Hospital scores better than Poole for access.
Not sure how this conclusion has been reached as within about a half mile of Poole Hospital there is a railway station and a bus depot served by about 25 routes.
At least 12 bus routes stop outside Poole Hospital and while there are sometimes problems finding car parking spaces in the hospital car park, alternative car parks are situated close by.
This is not the case with Bournemouth.
Aside from this the experience of my wife and myself at Poole has been one of excellence and dedication.
The consultants, doctors, nursing staff, admin, porters, cleaning staff and all are kind, helpful and friendly in spite of the pressures they are under.
Perhaps Dorset’s clinical commissioners might like to reconsider their preference?
