LISTENING to reports on TV and reading items in the Bournemouth Echo, it seems to me that what the NHS needs is more money and spent wisely.

Not only is there not enough ambulances or paramedics, there is not enough nurses, doctors and other staff.

So, this may not agree with everyone, but if there was a locked safe inside the entrance to the hospital and when anyone goes in for treatment they put a minimum of £1 in this letterbox (obviously if you are going there for treatment on a regular basis this would be not expected), I wonder how much over one year or less, there would be in there to put back into the hospital.

Not so much for extras, but to deal with the problems that arise.

It may have to be allowed to grow to a sensible amount.

I myself have had treatment many times there and would not moan about a £1 minimum each time if I knew it was to help some of the problems we have.

The government has to be put in amongst it and actually see what the NHS needs instead of sitting behind a desk and making decisions they do not understand.

Many years ago we used to have Gloucester Road hospital, where if someone was better but not ready to go home on their own, they would have one week or more there to become stronger and more mobile, thus releasing the beds.

Surely this is such a simple idea.

It was not just for the elderly, anyone who needed some convalescence was transferred there.

My brother was after an operation and he was quite young at the time.

I am afraid it is time we look after our NHS first before releasing money to other countries, otherwise, we are going to be in such a bad situation we will not be able to help anyone.

Without your health, you cannot function. We could function without many other services.
