COUNCILLOR Michael Filer recently wrote to the Echo supporting the plan to make bin collections once a fortnight.
I can agree to his comments, but only if you are single or a couple.
For those with children of any age this plan will be unmanageable.
From personal experience as soon as my son is staying our bin is full, and we would have a problem with a fortnightly collection. What will happen with those people with two or more children?
What plans have been made for those who cannot cope with fortnightly bin collections?
This plan is to save some £500k.
May I suggest that our 64 councillors give up their allowance of £7k each per annum. After all, volunteering for the council is just that, voluntary.
