CANS left on walls, crisp packets and chocolate bar wrappers in hedges, newspapers blowing down the high street, the weekend’s kebab and burger boxes selfishly left on the pavements, coffee cups and fast food drinks thrown onto the roadside, cash receipts and tissues on the pavement outside supermarkets, dog poo picked up and bagged but then hung on a branch for us all to admire...
Bournemouth is looking shabby and basically the people who litter don’t care about where YOU live. I love my town and it saddens me that so many don’t give a damn. They will probably argue that there are not enough bins or it’s the fault of the fast food outlet they bought it from or the council for not clearing it up.
Sorry, that excuse is not good enough and many in our town require a basic lesson in manners and respect. I mean, let’s face it – to wind down your window and throw something out needs a large amount of ignorance and selfishness doesn’t it?
So I say to the hundreds of regular litterers in our town, grow up and show Bournemouth some respect. Love Britain? Then act like it.
