BOROUGH of Poole is acting like the defeated pro Europe lobby by going back to the council a second time to try to push through the plans to charge for on road parking in the Sandbanks, Branksome and Canford Cliffs areas near to the beaches – despite having lost the vote last time round.
How can Councillor Drew support introducing these charges in what looks like a reaction to congestion in the summer period?
Does he honestly believe that by charging this will reduce congestion?
Just be honest with the public and admit it is nothing more than a revenue-raising mission which will do nothing to reduce congestion, which I have to say, this year, was not too bad.
I am sure the local traders would be pleased to see visitors stay away to reduce congestion which I cannot see happening.
