I COMPLETELY agree with all comments made in Malcolm Birr’s letter published in the Echo on November 25, together with all the views expressed by Chris Chope in the Echo in recent weeks.
It has been noticeable that all the criticism of Chris Chope has originated from Bournemouth/Poole sources and it is equally obvious that Bournemouth and Poole councils are very keen to absorb East Dorset and gain access to East Dorset’s assets.
In recent years, Christchurch and East Dorset councils have shared both officers and premises to good effect and have much more in common than the Urban Bournemouth and Poole councils, both of which have wasted thousands of pounds on ‘mad cap schemes’ they should never have become involved in such as the ‘reef’ and ‘Bournemouth Bank’ etc.
Chris Chope represents Christchurch and East Dorset.
Poole and Bournemouth correspondents should remember that when making critical comments.
