IT has been apparent that regular writers, sometimes too regular, are commenting on National issues, ie, Royalty and Europe, when I believe local issues should be paramount in the Bournemouth Echo.
This town has been blighted with the ugliest of buildings, the building on every town centre car park, crime and disorder.
I am not forgetting the waste of every council tax payers hard earned money for the Boscombe reef, Imax, and harebrained costly road schemes. (no doubt readers have their own favourites) and finally the dislike of car users, as the comment to make the square more pedestrian and cycle friendly says it all.
I am sure there are positives, which escape me at present, but I’m sure they will be pointed out in the letters page.
We are in the season of goodwill to all, including Bournemouth council, but my wish for the New Year to them, please use your common sense.
