I BELIEVE that much good could be served for those who prefer to walk whenever possible, or have no other means of transport, if the Echo would cease to feature photographs of vehicles ploughing at reckless speed through standing water.
With the winter encroaching it would be good to see an end to images that glorify the selfish, stupid and utterly thoughtless behaviour of those who believe the car (or van) is king.
Young children on the way to school or return, the elderly and pedestrians visiting shops, are regularly assaulted by the mindless cretins behind the wheel of their pride and joy at locations which are perfectly predictable whenever there is a heavy shower.
But what do we see in the Echo....No thought. No care. I’m in a car (or van) mate so get out the way.
