HAVING read the letter from Animal Aid’s Campaign’s Team, I should like to make a couple of comments on it.
One is that milk and eggs from animals given to people in developing countries provide a valuable and much-needed source of protein.
‘Drought-tolerant fruit trees’ do not do that. The other is that animals given to developing countries nowadays enjoy a good standard of veterinary care.
My company has been proud to donate veterinary equipment to the Msaada charity for cows given to widows and orphans of the genocide in Malawi.
I would urge readers who care about the welfare of people in great need to support this charity: msaada.com.
The word “msaada” is Swahili, and it means “help”.
