COUNCILLOR Beesley, in the past you have said you 'believe it is important to residents that we continue to ensure the level of services provided by the council is maintained'.

Therefore, you may be unaware of the state of the pavements at the top of Pine Tree Glen. Sodden leaves are lying on the ground. Obviously, the pavement is dangerous to everybody, especially those of us who are older, less agile and whose sight is poor.

Once, perhaps not so long ago, we would have just cleaned the pavement ourselves, but we cannot do that now.

I understand the council has Pine Tree Glen on its list of things to do - when time permits.

Is it too much to ask for half an hour of a street cleaner's time and help make the lives of at least 80 of your constituents less dangerous?
