WITH regard to the Brexit vote, it is beginning to look as though the basic instinct of the British people may well be correct in leaving a union dominated by Germany with only France and Italy left able to negotiate a compromise and none of them wanting to listen to Britain even months before the referendum result.

Dr Mathias Doepfer, COE of Axel-Springer, “one of the largest publishing groups in Europe”, said that Britain leaving the EU could well end up leaving them better off than continental Europe within as little as three to five years if they would exploit the opportunity offered to engage more with educated immigrants wanting to make a good life for themselves in the UK and not the immigrants who only want to use the one way benefit systems currently on offer.

It seems after paying out around £500 billion to the EU since we joined and being totally unable to calculate what, if any, was the overall gain, it was time to leave a European political ruling class that wants to not only abolish democratic elective politics but the national cultures that went with it.
