IT was a beautiful summer's evening.
My daughter and I thought how lovely it would be to go for a walk along Bournemouth beach.
We also took our dog with us.
We are fully aware of the restrictions regarding dogs being allowed on the beach and the fines that can be imposed regarding dog fouling.
On arriving at the beach, mess was strewn across our golden sands.
Mess everywhere you looked and gulls pecking at the discarded foul mess.
This mess was not of a canine, but that of many humans.
Our beautiful beach covered in bottles, nappies, rotten food, discarded barbecues. The list goes on.
In line with the many notices regarding the rules of dogs on the beach, this surely should apply to those humans who leave their foul mess.
If the level of concern to dog fouling was applied to humans, our beaches would be litter free.
