An artists' impression of how Beale Place could look
I WELCOME the comments of Rev Dr Barry Harding-Rathbone in your columns of July 20 supporting the proposals to link the two pedestrian precincts at Beale Place.
Our officers are looking to replace the disabled parking spaces into Albert and Yelverton Roads and to increase disabled parking spaces elsewhere in the central area so that there will be no net loss.
I have asked if we can also provide additional drop off and pick up spaces in St Peter’s Road and Hinton Road.
I would also mention that our Richmond Gardens multi-storey car park does offer ample lift access to Old Christchurch Road.
