IS Dracunculus vulgaris (‘stink lily’) really such a rare plant?
For 25 years, I could have made a fortune for all the bulbs which I have tried to eradicate from my garden. They like to grow in the most shady area of my garden. They get very little light, but the bulbs, deeply growing, are difficult to extract.
They may be rare, certainly they are exotic, as are many other introduced species. How they arrived in Ferndown to this garden, I will never know!
