I AM a new smoker. I started smoking cigarettes about a month ago.
Yesterday, while walking near the pier, I accidentally dropped my cigarette butt and an officer from the private company 3GS turned up to me and fined me £80 pounds for dropping a cigarette butt.
Is it that crazy?
I really never drop any litter or cigarettes butts but somehow I was deep in thoughts and it had happened.
As I later found out, the whole £80 goes directly to this private company 3GS, nothing goes to the council.
No wonder they are running like bees fining swarms of people a day. I saw two youngsters crying after being fined.
