I HAVE been reading all the entries on your letters pages that come from people on both sides of the discussion as to whether we should Leave or Remain in the EU.

It leaves me with more questions than answers.

David Cameron only achieved some loose promises on minor alterations to the conditions of the UK remaining in the EU.

Nothing Mr Cameron was promised has been ratified or formalised by any member state of the EU.

All he continues to have are a collection of promises.

What happens to our position if we stay in the EU yet Cameron’s "deal" is then "kicked into the long grass" by EU voting?

There are stories of Germany and Holland making moves to begin the process of amalgamating their armed forces. It concerns me that this is the start of a major initiative towards a European Defence Force which will over-rule our own services.

Much is made of trade agreements, with examples from all sorts of countries that bear little resemblance to our own situation, but no-one has any true information about what the position will be if we leave the EU.

We have reports of threats from EU planning that will affect our NHS, our pensions system, our Border Security and even our National Insurance and benefits systems.

How can we guarantee that all these aspects of our national life will remain safe?

What model of trade agreement would work for UK?

Must we remain in the EU trade zone and how does this effect our trading relationships with the rest of the world?

People say that if the UK leaves the EU this will cause another referendum vote in Scotland.

It is said this will cause the Scots to go independent just so they can remain part of the EU.

I cannot work out why people say the Scots will remove themselves from the UK government yet vote to continue to be governed by more distant politicians in Brussels!

Oh how I wish someone would give me a true and accurate picture of what this EU really has to offer us (no scare stories please)... or are we better off out of it?
