IT is very difficult for the “man in the street” to know how to decide to vote in the forthcoming EU membership election faced with so many contradictory ‘expert’ claims and statistics.
It perhaps seems logical to many that it is better economically to be part of a large trading unit than not but such is the weight of opinion against the community on grounds of lack of accountability, official red tape, loss of sovereignty etc that it feels all is not right with the EU.
If only Mr Cameron had come back from the EU ‘renegotiation’ with more of substance, the decision would have been much clearer.
And what will happen to the EU itself if the UK, one of the larger members and contributors, decides to leave?
