BEING an ageing plane spotter, on days when we are blessed with clear blue skies, I gaze up and watch planes as tiny silver objects rapidly passing overhead, and at night, small clusters of flashing lights.
Or the dawn “What is that at the end of that slim white jet trail?”
Where are they going, what type are they and what is their destination?
I now have all that information at my fingertips, it is addictive and awesome.
An app called flightradar24.com is available for phones, PCs etc, and is invaluable for those interested in tracking aircraft going to and fro’ and details of the operator and type.
For all ages it is a great pastime watching the thousands of airborne planes darting across the globe and identifying those seen from garden or bedroom window.
It sure beats watching Brexit baloney on TV.
