A READER’S suggestion for an underpass in Gervis Place in Bournemouth is a non-starter.
The remains of one is still there – and another by Debenhams – a result of former expensive mistakes, together with the entrance to the Lower Gardens and the Pavilion fountain(s).
Westover Road will soon be isolated following the movement of the cinemas (a chance for an ice-rink site...again?!), together with the new upmarket hotel/s on the opposite side of The Square.
It strikes me a possible ‘solution’ to the Bus Hub would be for Westbound buses to start from Westover Road, and east and northbound buses from Gervis Place.
