DESPITE months of intensive investigation by the powers that be, they could not find any conclusive evidence against Richard Carr to bring before a court (Daily Echo, November 21).

This clearly demonstrates how prejudice can influence procedure.

The system is clearly loaded against the individual when huge sums of public money can be spent trying to justify someone's opinion, resulting in the individual having to spend large sums of their own money trying to defend themselves without any redress.

I'm sure that any reasonable person would agree that it is totally unfair that anyone should have to incur costs to defend themselves against completely unfounded accusations.
