How do we stop buses?
WAITING in Westover Road for a bus to Westbourne one duly arrived in minutes. I put out my hand. Near the pelican crossing by the Pavilion, the bus signalled left as if to pull in. I put down my hand and the bus went to sail past.
The driver saw my look of horror and kindly stopped.
In future I will keep my hand out until certain the bus is stopping, but will others do likewise? What is correct bus etiquette and do all local companies comply?
