I UNDERSTAND that UKIP MEP’s tried to block the decision to end roaming charges in the EU?
This is a political party that criticises the EU on every front for wasting our money. Then attempted to block a decision which is going to save the average British holidaymaker £61, off their phone bill each year.
This news is in part, thanks to hard work by my local MEP, Catherine Bearder and her liberal colleagues, putting some more money in our pockets. From April next year, calls, texts and data usage in the EU will be four times cheaper than it has been – and from Summer 2017 it will be exactly the same as using your phone in the UK.
It just goes to show who is really standing up for the British consumer, and what can be achieved when they work together, with our neighbours.
