BOURNEMOUTH council has been crowing about creating the water feature on Pier Approach as part of its scheme to make the town a 'world-class' resort.
However, I assume that the river that emanates from this, due to lack of drainage, which flows across the pedestrian area so that everybody has to walk through it and passes exactly under the spot where people have to stand to buy items from the kiosk, on its way to the beach has occurred by accident.
This is totally beyond belief and shows the total inefficiency of those responsible, both officers and elected members, not only in the initial design but in not taking action to redress the problem which must have been evident as soon as the feature was switched on.
