MY sympathies are with to Mr Bowey, whose dog was attacked (Echo, July 29). I walk my dog on Fernheath common every day and on at least 10 occasions I have met a so called “professional” dog walker who walks between two and seven dogs.
Invariably they are not on leads and she has no control over them at all. On four occasions some of her dogs have attempted to attack my dog – the pack mentality kicks in!
But, luckily, I have been able to fend them of, much to her disgust.
If the owners of the dogs she walks knew about her lack of control or expertise, hopefully they would not use her.
One day these dogs are going to do some serious damage.
P.S. Is it not illegal to walk dogs professionally on public land?
