REGARDING the closing of the mobile library in Poole, is this quite honestly necessary?
It is said to save £50,000. It is a very paltry act when reading is top of the agenda.
Listening to the leader of Poole council I was amazed to hear her say that Poole has a shortfall and needs to save money.
Yet they are spending over £3 million on new beach huts, which are summer season use if they can rent them. Reading is so important for the young and the elderly especially in out-lying areas.
