MY husband and I cycle on the beach most mornings from Branksome Chine to Bournemouth Pier at around 7am.
I am very surprised to see that there are many tents on the beach and people are camping out overnight.
When I have asked the beach wardens about this they say the police will not move them on and they are not allowed to. I ask this question: What if everyone did this?
Free camping on the beach. They mostly leave a hideous mess too and don’t take their rubbish with them. Why is this allowed to happen on our beaches?
The council spend a lot of money trying to keep them clean and tidy and people do this overnight. I wrote last year about the night parties and large bonfires in the beach, but they still seem to happening.
I was born here and despair at what is happening to our beautiful coastline.
