I WOULD like to pass on a huge thank you to the person who found and handed in my diamond ring dropped in the car park of Ringwood Waitrose on Friday, 26 June.

We were en route from Buckinghamshire to Lyme Regis for a few days and it was only on nearing our destination that I realised it was missing.

It had fallen from my lap on getting out of the car, having removed it to put on some hand cream, shortly after leaving home and very carelessly I forgot to put it back on. I immediately rang Waitrose, not holding out much hope, so my relief on being told it had been found and handed in was immense.

Unfortunately, the name and address of this person wasn’t taken at the time so I have no way of contacting them to say how very grateful I am.

However, I am hoping that through the medium of your newspaper this person is local to Ringwood and may recognise themselves.

If so, thank you so very much for your honesty.
