I WAS very sorry to read about the woman who suffered a broken arm when a skater collided with her and I wish her all the very best. It must be very painful.
Regarding putting a ban on skateboarders – it is not all young people who use skateboards that are at fault.
We want our young people to behave responsibly when they are on their skateboards, but banning something that makes them happy I’m against. There is enough misery in the world already without making things worse.
As for the Greens who want to cover our beautiful island with ugly expensive windmills and increase our energy bills, can’t we look at things from another angle and cut down on the amount of energy we use?
As was said in the past, we should ask ourselves, is my journey really necessary?
Can I use a bicycle instead of a car, or get up a bit earlier and walk?
Or use a skateboard to go on our next appointment?
