THE frequent comments by Dr Rodger about why he vociferously opposed a small local wind turbine are confusing the issue.

The key fact is that 87% of Bournemouth West residents and 90% of the record number who registered with the Planning Inspectorate don’t want Navitus.

Our MPs throughout Dorset, local businesses and councils remain strongly opposed.

Why? The Jurassic Coast UNESCO site and Bournemouth’s tourist beaches are no place for one of the world’s biggest wind farms. Our vital tourism industry would suffer hugely.

On a pre-election visit, Prime Minister David Cameron said: ‘I understand why people feel so strongly. It’s a beautiful part of the country and part of our heritage’.

His election manifesto also promised that local people would have a say on future wind farms. With a decision on Navitus due in a few months, it’s time to write to the Prime Minister and remind him of those sentiments.

The Rt Hon David Cameron, 10 Downing Street, London SW1A 2AA Take a few minutes to tell him why we don’t want the giant Navitus Bay industrial development blighting our beautiful coastline. The cost of a stamp is a small price to pay keep our bay free of blight.
