AN open letter to Councillor Beesley and Bournemouth Chief Executive Tony Williams: We will very soon be into the summer season in Bournemouth. We all know how important tourism is to our town. And yet on my daily walk around our tourist areas I find the following.
Pier Approach still unfinished with no-go areas. The Oceanarium is a building site. The Durley Chine cafe is still a building site. The new outside entertainment area on the old IMAX site is now in disrepute regarding sound issues.
Who is ultimately responsible for this state of affairs?
Bournemouth have various directors for building work, tourism, the sea front, gardens etc.
All of these on salaries not far off £100,000 per year. Which of you are actually going to take responsibility for getting it wrong on so many counts and are we getting value for money from highly paid employees?
