MAY we say a big thank you to all who attended an Accredited Assistance Dog Day on Sunday, 19th April 19, 2015 at Haskins Garden Centre, Longham.

We were able to advise people on what a difference these dogs make to the lives of people living with disabilities and they were able to talk to those who are fortunate enough to have a four legged helper to assist them.

We believe people were surprised at the variety of breeds used as assistance dogs, including German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Italian Spinones, Labradors, Cockapoo and crossbreeds. All were very laid back and showing the wonderful social skills required of them.

We thank Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Dogs for the Disabled, Canine Partners, Medical and Cancer Detection Dogs and Support Dogs for their help on the day.

For those who missed this event and want to know more, we can provide a power point presentation and demonstration to groups on request.

Once again our sincere thanks to Haskins Garden Centre who helped make it all possible and for their welcome and support making it an enjoyable day.
