PA Dewhurst (Letters, April 11) complains the public has been ill informed about the proposed Navitus wind farm. I would agree, but for different reasons.
Mr Dewhurst puts the blame on the developer’s consultation process, which he brands as ‘inadequate’. This is not the first time Mr Dewhurst has made such criticism. At the BIC meeting last year (Echo, October 14, 2014) he called it ‘failed’ and ‘misleading’.
Mr Dewhurst has previously been described as a spokesman for the Poole and Christchurch Bays Association (P&CBA), which was specifically formed to oppose the Navitus scheme. Given this connection,So it is no great surprise that Mr Dewhurst prefers to believe the failed and misleading views presented by P&CBA rather than the evidence-based information provided by the developer.
In his recent letter, Mr Dewhurst even argues against Navitus because ‘most people in the UK favour gas, not electricity, for cooking and heating their homes’.
Goodness!! Isn’t gas one of those fossil fuel things?
As reported before in the Echo (Their view is dangerous - Letters March 3), There is SSomething a number of P&CBA folk seem not to fully grasp, seem to be very ill informed about is man-made climate change.
