I HAD an interesting day today. I set off on my mobility scooter to do some shopping.

In my front carriage basket I placed my ‘Asda Bag-for-life’ and ventured to first draw some cash from a nearby machine.

On my journey to that chosen place of spending, suddenly the wind came up and my ‘bag-for-life’ took off and flew across the main highway.

There (as a litter bug), was nothing I could do. I travelled on to my destination but at the same time, watched my ‘Asda Bag For Life’ blow this way and that.

It kind of circled my destination. It went around the roundabout, came back and then did a double-turn to the same direction I was going.

I went into the small shop and told the shopkeeper all about it. He looked out of his window and could see my ‘Asda’ bag lying up someone’s driveway. I left his store with his own bag but still determined to get my own.

I crossed the street and there laying in a driveway was my ‘Asda Bag For Life’.

As I moved upon it, the wind blew and I moved on a bit.

The wheels of my mobility scooter trapped it. It was captured.

‘Bags for Life’ – these things have got a mind of their own.
