‘I’d been wondering where all my mail was going’, grumbled a resident of Griffin Close, Waters Edge in Wimborne, the new development on the old Flight Refuelling site, as I redelivered something.
That was until I pointed out Griffin Court in Station Road, on the other side of the old railway line and just visible through the trees. Ahem, didn’t the developers do their homework?
To make matters worse, there aren’t any road names up yet as they haven’t been delivered so it’s all guesswork. The sales executive in the site office was just as surprised to learn of the unfortunate coincidence.
Griffin Court’s postcode is BH21 1RQ and Griffin Close BH21 2AR but it doesn’t seem to make any difference: Griffin Court is the only ‘Griffin’ in the book.
We’ll get used to it.
