WHY is the council ruining Richmond Hill? I agree with Richard Bennett and Derek Hooper.
I too have repeatedly reported broken drains and damaged kerbs on the corner of Rothesay Road and Glenferness Avenue causing perpetual flooding.
This is a busy road with all the Talbot Heath school traffic twice a day.
The council rods the drain often, but don’t seem to grasp that this is tipping our money down the drain.
It’s broken and needs to be repaired properly, once, to solve the problem – it’s not rocket science.
I too, have not had even the courtesy of a reply from the people I took the time and trouble to report this to ages ago.
As for Richmond Hill, one has rarely seen so many men spend so much time – three months to date and counting – achieving so little, apart from what looks like a much narrower road for cars.
Someone should tell them cars have got bigger in the last 30 years, not smaller.
It is the main tourist road into Bournemouth and yet again the council have scored an own goal when, if they have money to spare, sort out the drains, kerb stones and potholes first.
