I was recently admitted to A&E at RBH. May I through your site say despite the volume of patients I was treated extremely well.
The staff were all very nice and reassuring. When I was transferred to Ward 21 the same can be said; the staff, from cleaners to porters to nursing staff were so friendly and helpful, my stay was made very pleasant, even the food was good.
We hear a lot about how bad the NHS is but I found the contrary to be true, despite the bad press.
However, there must be something done about the sheer volume of elderly and distressed patients coming into A&E, maybe a smaller unit to transfer them to rather like how Christchurch Hospital was run, perhaps the closure of those wards was rather a short-sighted thing to do after all as it would have taken a lot of pressure off so-called bed-blockers.
Wonder what the management would think about that now.
Apart from that a big thanks from me to all of the hard working staff.
