I WOULD like to share my disappointment with your readers over the complete indifference by the highways division of the borough council.
I wrote letters to them in October and November regarding the dreadful road surface at the Gervis Road-Meyrick Road roundabout.
Having taken the time and trouble to bring this to their notice on two occasions, I have not received the courtesy of a single reply.
I, like all Bournemouth residents are legally bound to pay council tax, mine at £2,200, but in this case, the council do not have the simple courtesy to reply to a letter pointing out concern for a road surface which we indirectly pay for!
Gervis Road is always badly affected by flood water following heavy rain. This too has gone unattended for many years.
With roadworks in abundance being carried out recently all over Bournemouth, I cannot help wondering how this work is prioritised.
Gervis Road is part of the ring road, but I guess out of sight is out of mind, and even worse, letters to point out the problem, are rudely ignored.
DEREK HOOPER, Gervis Road, Bournemouth
