After the stormy night of Dec 11, I walked along the promenade to Portman Ravine and noted that the waves were much higher at that point.
It was here that a row of beach huts was destroyed in the storms of last winter.
What, I wonder, will be the effect of the proposed wind turbine farm on the wave energy pattern?
The alarming possibility is that the highest waves will be deflected towards the low and unprotected cliffs near Hengistbury Head.
I also question why the destroyed beach huts were rebuilt in a clearly unsuitable position.
