HAVING attended a day of the public hearing concerning the Navitus Bay development and watching this issue unfold in the press, I feel there is a huge propaganda circus concerning the negative impacts of the scheme.

I am in the process of purchasing a flat with a glorious view across the whole coast and hope to see the power I use generated by renewable energy I can see, not a hidden CO2 emitting time-bomb I can’t.

Much misinformation is spread about the effect of the proposal that ignores the impact of human-induced climate change in the bigger picture, which is certain to destroy the Jurassic Coast far more profoundly than wind turbines.

I dispute the scaremongering figures of total tourism decimation that are touted; where is the evidence?

Dorset must play its part in the battle for independent locally generated energy and consumption.

These wind turbines are essential for damage limitation of our fragile ecosystem in this strategically important position around the UK.

If the anti-Navitus campaign wins it will be a hollow victory and one for which our children will have to pay the ultimate price.
