COULD I say a massive thank you to everyone involved with the Christmas tree light up on Ashley Road on Sunday, 30 November.
From the local community who support this event, the schools both Sylvan and Victoria who supplied us with wonderful screens to decorate the rails around the tree.
Also may I mention the kind sponsors of our tree this year, Malcolm and Tina Barker Hairdressers, the choirs Sylvan School and Rising Voices, dancers from Leila Performers and The 20 to 1 Big Band for entertaining us all, the members of the committee who work so hard, all at St John’s Church, the volunteers, Waitrose, Maureen and Rex for their help and Richard Wilson for always being there. Thank you one and all.
