Having read the recent article regarding the Local Improvement Fund used by Bournemouth councillors I would make a very strong plea to continue with this much needed ward fund.
In our ward Throop and Muscliff Cllr Ron and I have always supported local projects and indeed our funday committee always ploughs monies back into the ward, for instance opening and closing of the Muscliff Park toilets in the summer school holidays.
All councillors and I agree here with Cllr Grower should know their wards well enough and be in contact with various groups, schools, community and youth centres as well as the general needs of the ward to help out with their LIF.
Anne Rey, Councillor for Throop and Muscliff, leader of the Independents
