RECENT letters in the Bournemouth Echo compelled me to write, re Bournemouth Hospital.
A family member of mine went into Bournemouth hospital last year, their whole stay was a nightmare.
As they were unable to walk, they couldn’t walk out. I had enough and complained, that took ages. The lady wasn’t in for various reasons and suggested different things I could do to complain.
I eventually gave up and my family member passed away about two months later.
Out of the blue the lady phoned me about two weeks later.
I told her my family member had passed away, she was shocked.
The lady phoned me again and asked for a family member. She did apologise.
I received a letter to say sorry they had not been in contact, but a named person would.
Then I received another letter from someone else to say nothing could be found concerning my complaint.
A while later I received another letter in November 2013 about all of the changes that had been made on the ward. Why all the changes if there wasn’t any problems?
I was stood in a shop waiting to be served when two people were discussing a lady in Bournemouth hospital, on a different ward, but same concerns.
One said get her out as soon as possible. I was upset as it was a year ago it was me complaining. No changes at all it seems.
What’s going on Bournemouth Hospital?
